Naked 3 Palette - The Long Awaited Review

It's long over due but I thought I would finally get around to reviewing my beloved Naked 3 palette for you all. I've never loved a palette as much as I love this one. There are colours for every skin tone making this palette so versatile and suitable for everyone.

It comes in a metal casing similar to the Naked 2 palette. The palette is made up of rose gold combination colours such as light and dark pinks, golds and dark browns. It's perfect for both evening or day wear.

I bought the palette for £37.00, which for something of this quality is not too bad. The shadows are amazing and they are all super pigmented, especially when used on top of the Urban Decay Primer Potion which is £16.00 and also available from Debenhams.

Here are some day to day looks I have created using the Naked 3 Palette.
What are your views on the Naked 3 palette? Have you tried any looks worth sharing?

You can purchase the palette here.

Weekend in Pictures

I spent most of this weekend in Manchester with my sister and my Dad's partner. We spent the majority of Saturday shopping and then went to watch One Direction perform in the evening. I had such a lovely weekend and definitely didn't want to come home on Sunday! *THIS IS GOING TO BE A HEAVY PICTURE POST*

Writers Block

These past few weeks have been super busy and stressful and in the midst of seeing friends and moving I have completely neglected my blog. I have also had a major writers block which for anyone wanting to blog is super inconvenient and stressful. Rather than writing a load of rubbish I thought I would take two weeks to concentrate on sorting things out then come back with vengeance. Now, I am settled and have some sort of routine and am feeling motivated again I will be trying my hardest to get back into blogging at least once a week.

If there is anything in particular you would like to see on my blog I would love to hear your suggestions. Thank you for reading!

New Discoveries

In the last few weeks I seem to have struck gold in terms of finding make up that I really really love. Normally I would stick to what I know and tend not to give new make up a try as much as I should, however I recently 'took a shortcut' through Boots and ended up with a small bag of new products (oops).

Wet  'N' Wild Eye shadow
This was one of the first coloured eye shadows I ever bought and unfortunately I don't actually remember where I got this from or where you can get it from! On a daily basis I prefer to stick to a plain subtle colour and after rediscovering this hidden underneath all of my make up I decided to give it a go. This is in the shade 'Fine Wine' and its a lovely pink champagne colour. The eye shadow itself is very hard wearing and lasts all day, the colour comes out quite bold so you don't really need a lot on your brush to achieve that block colour. It's perfect for everyday or even for mixing up with other colours to create a more suitable evening look.

Kate Moss has recently released a new mascara for Rimmel and the first 180 to buy it through Boots received a small handful of Kate Moss' other Rimmel products. Fortunately I was in that first 180 and received this lipstick within the bundle. It's in the shade 33 and is a beautiful pink, perfect for spring. I have a few of Kate's lipsticks as I think they last a while, don't make your lips feel or look dry and there are some beautiful shades available. I have been wearing this everyday since I got it and I'm really pleased with how well it compliments my skin tone. For £5.49 I would definitely repurchase it!

You may or may not have noticed I am a sucker for Rimmel products. They are my favourite brand and I am always willing to give their products a go. Everyone and their brother seems to rave about this concealer so I thought I would follow the crowd and give it a go. Honestly, I can't believe I didn't try it earlier! I have literally been wearing this and powder for the past week as it offers such good coverage I haven't felt the need to put foundation on top. Despite being very pale it manages to blend in with my skin well and doesn't leave me looking or feeling orange and cakey as some concealers do. I have high hopes for the foundation now, does anyone know if it is as good?

I was slightly hesitant about this eyeliner as the tip is so fine  and I'm used to a pen like tip and I never thought I would be able to master using this. However, I was wrong. It is so precise and easy to get a really smooth wing and I can't imagine using anything else. It pretty much stays put all day and once you get used to the fine tip it becomes really easy to use. I believe this was around £6. I have been searching high and low for a decent eyeliner and it's been like trying to find a needle in a haystack!

I promised myself I wouldn't do a full review on this as just about everyone is but I couldn't not include it in this post along side a small review! It is such an amazing mascara and adds not only volume but length. It stays on all day and doesn't even require that many layers before your lashes look luxurious! It retails for £8.99 which is about average for a high street mascara. I've never been one to buy fancy mascaras as I believe there are so many high street mascaras now that promise just the same thing for half the price. This mascara is available in a variety of colours so even if you fancied mixing it up and going for something completely different you can.

Here is what all of the make up above looks like on.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any make up products that you think I might like let me know!

Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes

It is finally time to welcome back the pastels, oh how I've missed you. I thought I would share with you five nail polishes which I think are perfect for spring time.

Maybelline Forever Strong Professional Nail Polish in the shade Nude Rose (135) is a beautiful colour and really is long lasting. This is my go to nail varnish, it's a lovely dusky pink colour and look great with anything. It does need a couple of coats to build up a good colour but once your there it looks lovely.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in the shade Ethereal (210). This colour is a beautiful baby pink with a slight metallic finish. I love the 60 second collection as although the most pastel colours do need more coats and do tend to chip easily they take 60 seconds to dry so putting on another coat isn't an inconvenience. The only thing about this nail varnish is that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes a really bold colour.

Barry M Aquarium Nail Paint in the shade Mediterranean (412). I was very impressed with the new Aquarium collection, at first I was a bit hesitant as to whether or not it would have a nice consistency or finish to it but I hadn't of worried. I only had to do two coats and it lasted at least two days without chipping which considering I am always using a keyboard for work I was quite impressed. This particular colour I chose is a pink gold with quite an orange tone to it. The only thing I would say about it is that it doesn't leave a particularly shiny finish.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora Nail Polish in the shade Breakfast in Bed (873). I must say I'm not overly impressed with Rita Ora's collection, as for me it doesn't real stand out from any other collection. However, I did pick up this beautiful mint green colour and it really is a winner. It's perfect for spring/summer. It takes a few coats to build up a proper colour but again it takes 60 seconds to dry so you're not waiting around forever.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in the shade Mary Mary Quite Contrary (621). I have realised that 90% of the polishes are Rimmel but you have to admit, when it comes to nail polish they know what they are doing. This colour is a lovely lilac and is actually the first ever lilac I had bought. It takes quite a few coats but looks lovely and lasts for a good few days atleast. Again not one for people who like quite a bold colour.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Do you have any nail polishes that you think are perfect for spring?

My Weekend in Pictures

On Friday Lucy and I got an early train down to London for a day of shopping followed by an evening watching McBusted perform at the O2 Arena.

Just looking at this is making me crave it all over again...soo good!

This is just about the only 'touristy' photo I got as it was super busy in London and for the best part of the day it was raining and miserable.

Black Tshirt ~ H&M
Polka Dot Skirt ~ H&M
Leather Backpack ~ New Look

I FINALLY GOT TO TASTE BUBBLE TEA (although mine was more of a slush/smoothie) regardless it tasted uh-mazing!!

I forgot to take an actual camera to the concert so unfortunately these are the best pictures I have. I was far to busy enjoying the concert to even think about taking photos though!

On Saturday I was suffering from post concert depression/extreme fatigue. I went to the cinema with my family but other than that I pretty much stayed at home and regained my energy (I obviously can't cope with long days/late nights). We decided to watch Noah and if I'm honest I think we all left a little disappointed with the film however all the actors/actresses did play their parts brilliantly!

Sunday was a day for writing blog posts, cuddling my lovely puppies and staying in bed on Sims.

I hope you all had lovely weekends!
