After a long break from blogging, I decided that 'Life in a Nutshell' wasn't really very me anymore. I had out grown it and more importantly, I am now a different person.
My love for blogging is stronger than ever and I am not about to give up the game so fear not! I have created a new platform that is more me than this blog ever was. My beautiful new blog has it's own domain and custom made theme and I am so happy with it!
I hope you guys love it just as much as I do!
I am still going to be a beauty blogger...with a twist. For a good couple of months now I have been 'cruelty free'. For those of you who don't understand what that means, it basically means I don't use any products that are tested on animals. So, my new blog is a cruelty free/organic beauty, lifestyle and travel blog. Similar content just 10x better!
I hope you all stick with me on my new venture and continue to watch me grow!
Thank you to everyone who has read every single post on this blog...the good and the bad!
Now,without further ado, I present to you my new love...

Hopefully I'll see you all soon over at my new address ;-)

J'aime Paris - My Week in Paris
On the 21st June, I flew out to Paris. The city I have always dreamed of seeing. I spent a week there and whilst the people weren't as friendly and all I ate was Italian food, there is NO denying that it is not one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I thought I would create a picture post sharing my journey with you...
Day 1 - DISNEY!
Day 2 - Notre Dame, Louvre and The Eiffel Tower.
Day 3 - The Catacombs and watching The Eiffel Tower light up in the evening...
Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've been super busy with life lately! I had an amazing time in Paris though and I hope you enjoyed my pictures...

Five New Drugstore Buys
So, after seeing everyone and their brother do 'Spring Makeup Hauls' I decided to take a trip to Boots and do my own little haul. I have been using the products for a good while now and so far, so good, Having said that, I thought it was time to review them all for you!
First up, after seeing these be all the rage last Spring/Summer I decided to purchase some for myself (a year later, oops). They are Revlon Lip Butters, a lighter alternative to a lipstick. I thought these were perfect for going on holiday or keeping in your bag as a little pick me up throughout the day!
Despite only being lip butters they still give a good, bold colour as well as being super moisturizing. I ended up going for two shades, 'Tutti Frutti' and 'Berry Smoothie'. As well as going for my typical, everyday pink, I also picked up the orange for when my skin picks up a bit of colour and to shake things up a bit.
The glossy balm effect doesn't last too long, which in a way is nice as it feels like it has properly absorbed and isn't just residing on the top of the lips. The colour however lasts a lot longer and has a really nice pigment to it! I will definitely be going back to pick up a few more colours!
I have been on a powder mission for what feels like FOREVER! Having heard SO many good things about this powder I decided to take the get one for myself and see if it was worth the hype. For starters, there is no denying that it smells uh-mazing but it also leaves a lovely matte finish without being cakey that seems to last nicely throughout the day!
I got mine in the shade Vanilla, which was the lightest shade available in that particular store and for a drugstore powder, it matches my skin tone really well. I'm not 100% sure if this is the powder I've been looking for but so far, so good.
Seeing as I was getting the powder, I decided to get the concealer along side it. I tried it on the back of my hand in the shop and was surprised at just how high coverage it was! Having just experienced Soap and Glory's horrific 'Trick and Treatment' I was dying to find something else! This is in the shade 'Light Radiance' and again, I am very happy with the colour match...I would definitely recommend this concealer to anyone who wants to achieve high coverage without feeling or looking like they have the whole tube plastered on their face!
As you can probably tell, I spent 3/4 of my trip at the Bourjois stand. A sister brand to Chanel, beautiful packaging and all the products promise a healthy long lasting glow....what more could you want?! I've tried what feels like 101 primers and still haven't found the one. However, this one caught my eye as it said it was a 'serum' primer, having only used silicone primers before and not being a fan, I decided to give it a go. It feels more like a moisturiser and goes on beautifully! It just gives a real healthy glow without being greasy or sticky!
I have seen this blush in just about every single Spring Haul I have watched so far so naturally, I had to buy my own! I got it in the shade 'Lovely Pink' and I'm in love. It's more of a highlight than a blush and gives a gorgeous glow with the slightest pinky tone.
Again, I went for the lightest shade available, as being quite pale I can't normally get away with too much blush so this was the perfect colour to suit my complexion! Any baked blush, in my opinion is a blush to invest in/buy straight away!
All of these products have quickly made themselves very comfortable in my everyday makeup!
Have you tried any of the above products? What did you think?
